: Four Songs from 1886
Los Angeles guitarist/vocalist Chelsea Green transcribed these four pieces, which are Erik Satie's first known art songs for voice and piano. "Les Anges," "Elégie," and "Sylvie" were written and grouped under the title Trois Melodies in 1886. The fourth song of this publication, "Les Fleurs," was composed in the same year as the the others. However, Satie added it to a different set, Trois Autres Melodies, which was completed in 1906.
