Alexander Scriabin: Two Pieces for Two Guitars, Op. 59

Look Inside
The enigmatic two pieces (Poème and Prélude, originally for piano) of Alexander Scriabin's Op. 59 largely consist of a few melodic ideas transposed to a number of different pitch levels, leading to repeated fingering patterns across the fretboard. Complex rhythms and chromaticism abound in this transcription for two guitars, which can also work for guitar and treble instrument with a range from Bb below the staff to the high G# above. This publication includes a reproduction of Scriabin's manuscript of the two pieces.
